Correndo como um louco, ando sem tempo de atualizar muito o blog, mas aqui estão duas capas que fiz recentemente para a revista Incorruptible, nova criação de Mark Waid, para o Boom!Studios.  Essas capas já foram divulgadas a algum tempo, mas só agora soube que já haviam sido mostradas.

Running as hell to finish American Vampire here, so, no time for blogging updates. Here are two covers i did recently for Mark Waid’s new book, called Incorruptible, for Boom!Studios. These covers were released a while ago, but just now I saw they have been shown already.

A algum tempo atrás (2008, acho), meu amigo Rafael Grampá me convidou pra fazer um pin-up para o livro que ele estava trabalhando e que sairia aquele ano. O livro era nada menos que Mesmo Delivery, a história mais badalada do ano passado.

Infelizmente, os pin ups acabaram cortados da versão final, mas eu não poderia perder a oportunidade de desenhar aqueles personagens tão legais, nem que fosse apenas pela diversão de desenhá-los.

Umas duas semanas atrás o Grampá criou um blog apenas com visões de outros artistas para o universo da Mesmo Delivery, e meu desenho foi recentemente postado lá, agora com cor de Cris Peter (que inclusive fez um vídeo com o processo de colorização, que pode ser visto aqui).

Some time ago (2008, I guess), my friend Rafael Grampá, asked me to draw a pin up for his upcoming book, that would be out by the end of that year.

The book was nothing less than Mesmo Delivery, one of the most acclaimed graphic novels from last year.

Sadly, the pin ups section ended out of the final version, but i couldnt miss the opportunity to draw those super cool characters, at very least, for the pleasure to draw them.

Couple of weeks ago, Grampá has created a blog, featuring other artists versions for Mesmo Delivery universe, and this pin up was recently added to that gallery (with colors by Cris Peter, who also did a nice video with the whole coloring process that can be seen here).

Acabei de ver nas bancas a edição brasileira da revista Superman/Batman #54, publicada pela Panini Comics.

Nesta edição foi publicada a segunda parte da história “Liga Mirim”, escrita por Michael Green e Mike Johnson, e ilustrada por mim (com cores de Cris Peter). A história, divertida e despretenciosa, ganhou boas críticas dos sites gringos: (Leia aqui, aqui e aqui algumas delas).

Vale a pena dar uma conferida.

Primeiramente, Feliz Natal!

Ao longo do ano, a Marvel lançou uma mini-série em 4 edições chamada Nomad - A Girl Without a World, escrita por Sean McKeever e ilustrada por David Baldeon.

Em março de 2010, eles vão lançar um encadernado desta mini-série, que entre outras coisas, vai trazer um “extra”: A história “The Youth of Today”, escrita por Ed Brubaker e desenhada por mim (publicada originalmente em Captain America #600).

Esta história foi o ponto de partida para a criação da mini-série, apresentando Rikki Barnes (a Bucky, da série Heroes Reborn), assumindo a identidade de Nomad.

A primeira edição de 2010 vai trazer a capa do American Vampire. Tenho que dizer que ISSO É MUITO LEGAL!

Previews is a big catalogue, sent to all the comic shops in US (and Canada, i guess), and it features all the comics that Diamond is distributing that month.
For 2010 January’s issue, American Vampire is featured on the cover (one of them), and, i have to say, THATS PRETTY COOL!

Just hope i can get a copy of it, maybe Vertigo guys can get one.
